Gastropods
This site is well known for easy-to-find specimens of
Monoplacophoran gastropods. We didn't find too many, actually. Here's a
couple.
Most of the gastropods we found were internal molds of
run-of-the-mill snails. (next 4 pics).
Here's an interesting gastropod specimen. It's a partial on a
rock, but it shows the inside surface of the snail's shell.
The kids on the field trip particularly liked finding Salamanders
under the rocks on the site. Here are pictures of a couple of them.
