Gastropods

The best gastropod award goes to these two specimens of the ornate monoplacophoran, Phragmolites dyeri. found by Cindy. Nice!

 Second place goes to this large internal mold of a gastropod. What appears to be rock at the base is actually another whorl of the snail shell.

Here are two more kinds of Gastropods we found: The monoplacophoran Sinuites and a spired gastropod, maybe Lophospira.

Here is double specimen, a high spired snail, maybe Paupospira, next to a short spired one, probably a platycerid.

Lots of other gastropod internal molds were found, like the one shown below.

This next gastropod has some nice low spires. It could be a Liospira.

Cephalopods

Not many Cephalopods were found. None coiled as in previous trips. Here's a picture of a small fragment. It's still not a bad specimen.
