And now, let the fossil collecting begin!

The site we chose is a new series of road cuts in Kentucky that expose mostly the Fairview Formation.

This site has an interesting "ball and piller" layer, as seen below, that acts as a marker bed to Geologists in identifying this layer on different sites across a wide area.

The road cuts had walls that were steeper than many Dry Dredgers were used to, making it difficult to reach all parts of the site.
