Dry Dredgers Field Trip
March 29, 2003
Florence, KY

Site 2: Collecting

We continued our tour of the Corryville Formation with a second site that was once a hill cut coldesac. This one was also famous for good quantities of Flexicalymene trilobites before the hill had been razed this past year. This site has also been weathered over the winter and the expectation is for nice specimens of trilobites as well as crinoids.

Dan first explained the site and the layers exposed here.

Now click here to see some of the fossils we found at the second site.
