Dry Dredgers Field Trip Report

April 1, 2000

Caesar Creek

Due to the enormous size of the Caesar Creek spillway, we do not really know how many Dry Dredgers attended the May 2000 field trip. We know that Ron Fine found a couple of tiny enrolled Isotelus trilobites, some tiny Flexicalymene trilobites and some Cincinnaticrinus cups. Bill Heimbrock found one tiny enrolled Isotelus and one Cincinnaticrinus cup. Dan Cooper found a number of tiny enrolled Flexicalymenes.

Here are a few pictures of the trip.

Here is world famous trilobite hunter Dan Cooper using the only water source around to clean the five Flexicalymene trilobites he found that day. Ron Fine is pictured on the right.

These are the five TINY flexicalymene that Dan Cooper found.

This report was filed by Bill Heimbrock on April 13, 2000. If you have found fossils on the March field trip and would like to report them on this Web page, contact Bill Heimbrock at billheim@cinci.rr.com
