The Dry Dredgers are very proud to announce that our own club president, Jack Kallmeyer, has won the coveted and prestigious Strimple Award presented by the Paleontological Society. Jack will be formally presented with the award during the Paleo Society's annual meeting at GSA on Sunday November 4th. We have already been notified that Jack is this year's recipient. Congratulations Jack! You deserve it!
Here's the announcement by the Paleontological Society from April 20, 2018
"The Harrel S. Strimple Award recognizes outstanding achievement in paleontology by amateurs (someone who does not make a living full-time from paleontology). Contributions may be an outstanding record of research and publication, making outstanding collections, safeguarding unique paleontological materials through public service, teaching activities in the area of paleontology, and collaborations with others working in paleontology.
"The 2018 Strimple Award recipient is Jack Kallmeyer (Cincinnati Dry Dredgers)."
